MANAGEMENT SEMINARS:

• A training program for Evangelical Church of India was held at Chennai from 18-19 January. For the first time an exclusive seminar was designed and conducted for the ECI pastors. Subjects covered: Biblical Leadership, Vision & Mission, Indian Constitution & Minority Rights and Motivation & Goal Setting. Resource Persons: J S Anbu (Haggai), S D Jeyakumar (CIM) & Aby Alexander (CIM).

• The feedback was very positive especially regarding the interactive and relevant sessions. It was felt that the seminars need to be held regularly for other ECI pastors in other regions.
 

• One day training program for World Mission Foundation was held at Chennai on 13th January. Resource Person: S D Jeyakumar (CIM).

MANAGEMENT STUDY COURSES:

• Exam dates for Semester I & III finalized from 15 – 19 February and number of exam centers has been increased to ten: Chennai, New Delhi, Shillong (MLCU), Mumbai, Hubli (KA), Kolkata, Tiruvalla (KL), Churachandpur, Imphal and Andaman.

• Certificate Program in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh and Dumka, Jharkhand in association with ESAF (15-18 March) has been confirmed.

• A special programme was organized for the Bible College and Seminary Heads in Chennai to introduce and orient the ‘Certificate Programme in Basics of Christian Management’.

CHRISTIAN MANAGER:

• The January issue of Christian Manager was despatched. The cover feature is on Inspirational Leadership focusing on two nationally recognised Christian leaders Rev. Dr. T. Sam Kamaleson and Mr. C. Umashankar, IAS. The future issues will carry more interviews and articles on leadership development issues. The next issue will be on The House Church Movement in India. The secondary focus is on Change Management.
 

• For February the drive will be to publish the Basic Management Handbook for Grass root Leaders. Upon further editing, the book will be simultaneously translated in Hindi. Plans are afoot to release both versions of the book by March.
