MANAGEMENT SEMINARS:
A training program for GEMS (Gospel Echoing Missionary Society) missionaries and
evangelists was held at Ranchi from 19 - 21 April. It was an exclusive grass
root (in-house) seminar. About 54 leaders from different parts of North India
had gathered. Resource Persons: J S Anbu (CIM), S D Jeyakumar (CIM) & Varghese
Jacob (CIM). Subjects covered: Commitment to the principles, policies and values
of the Organisation, Organisation - Definition & Structure, Organisational
Culture and Values, Decision Making Policy Making and Implementing, Problem
Solving & Crisis Management, Goal setting & planning, Reward and Penalties &
Grievances and Time Management.
Upcoming seminar
• Management Seminar for Charitable and Religious
Organisations at Chennai from 24-26 May which will include Indian Resource
Mobilisation. The New FCRA Bill 2010 which is effective from 1st May will be
explained in the above program.
• CIM General Seminars: July, 2011 at Bangalore,
September, 2011 at Pune, November, 2011 at Delhi, January, 2012 at Shillong and
March, 2012 at Darjeeling.

MANAGEMENT PUBLICATIONS:
• Work is nearing completion for the April-May
issue of Christian Manager which focuses on Networking and Partnership as its
cover theme. The issue will also feature an exclusive interview with Hans Finzel,
author of Top 10 Mistakes Leaders Make, who is a globally recognised leadership
expert.
• Nine draft chapters of the Basic Management
Handbook are ready. Three chapters are yet to be submitted which will be done
early May. This includes chapter on Indian Resource Mobilisation.
