At the heart of CIM lies the Department of Organisation Development (OD). Started in 2000 as one of the first departments, it has helped over 750 organisations and institutions over the years.
The uniqueness of CIM’s OD consultancy service is attributed to its ‘vision-oriented’ approach. It is offered in various aspects, conceiving the vision, exploring the objectives, identifying the right governing members, accountability, and legal and statutory compliances.
In October 2024, four individual OD consultations took place for different organisations. The organisations include a 45-year-old mission organisation headquartered in Coimbatore (with operations in Odisha and other northern parts of India), an international church headquartered in Kerala with a presence in the US and the UAE, and two budding charitable organisations based in Bengaluru.
All four consultations were on the “Formation of an Entity”. CIM consultants offered consultancy services on the registration of the new entities based on their envisioned nature and requirements. Furthermore, a detailed plan for drafting the formation documents was mapped out with clear objectives, aligned with the vision of the founder(s) along with the statutory requirements on formation and governance. In addition to that, primary information related to Income Tax, Project Planning & Design (PPD) and resource mobilisation were provided.
