On the 30th of April, the staff of CIM enjoyed a long-awaited day out at the water theme park, Queensland. With prayer and thanksgiving, we began our day with the sole rule of having as much fun as possible. Everyone, from the eldest to the youngest, had a relaxing time. It became a day dedicated to team-building, bonding and creating memories that would last beyond the office walls.

From the sky-high rollercoaster rides to the giant water slides, there was something for everyone. We took our time between rides to talk over homemade snacks. During lunch, we settled into a corner table, eating in silence, which was different from our usual loud lunch hours in the office, reminding us that sometimes a moment of silence is what we need in a bustling environment.

Instead of being drained by the heat of the summer afternoon,  the sight of large pools of water encouraged us to continue having fun. The Niagara Falls, as they called it, with cool water cascading down from huge stone structures, made us feel as if we were out of Chennai. Standing under the force of the flowing water felt like a thousand streams hitting your head and penetrating your thoughts. The fierce water pouring from above felt like a free massage for anyone experiencing it.

Ms. Suganthi, Management Co-ordinator, shares her experience, “The dashing cars were one of my favourites; it was so much fun bumping into friends and spinning around. I also enjoyed the drop tower lift ride, which gave a breathtaking view before plunging! The water games and splashing around in the wave pools and slides were refreshing and energising. Overall, it was a fun-filled adventure that left me with joyful memories and a longing to go back again.”

Mr. Allwin, another staff, says, “Spending time with the CIM family is always special to me. This year at Queensland was filled with fun, laughter, joy and fellowship.” He also added that the CIM staff is grateful to God for this opportunity as it builds the team and gives a chance to know the pep side of the members.

Dr. Aby says that it was a great time of rejuvenation and bonding with colleagues, and that he enjoyed the trip to the full extent.

Ultimately, the outing wasn’t just about the water rides but the connections, drawing us closer together as a team. This outing was a beautiful reminder of the importance of fun, teamwork and taking time for each other outside of work. It was indeed a day well spent.

The CIM family’s time at Queensland was a rejuvenating and connecting experience for everyone present. Seeing how a casual setting can strengthen relationships and foster teamwork is always amazing. By enjoying ourselves and having fun outside the office walls, we boosted our motivation to work for CIM’s cause as a team and a family.
