The Training Department of CIM organised a one-day Church Management Seminar for the Pastors, Executives and other Leaders of the Tamil Baptist Church, Chennai. The seminar was held on the 23rd of November on the premises of the church in Kilpauk, to address the specific challenges faced by the church.
The church has more than 25 branches in and around the suburbs of Chennai and has been under the leadership of the Tamil Baptist Society of Chennai for many decades. The Executive Committee of the Society decided that their pastors should be introduced to capacity building in finance, compliance, HR and other measures/areas concerning church management.
The participants included 25 pastors from different branch churches, the executive team, and a few other guests. They learned about the important aspects of managing a church, branch church management, church finances, and many other subjects relevant to pastors. The sessions were conducted by the resource person, Mr. Raja Christopher, Director of Training, CIM. Mr. Christopher also addressed the topics of personal health, hygiene and family relationships. Participants gained clarity and insights through this programme.
