The Research Forum, organised by CIM, is for emerging researchers to hone their academic writing and article composition skills. This initiative is pivotal in elevating the overall quality of a scholar’s thesis and enhances its potential for successful publication. The Forum emphasises the importance of publication as an integral component of scholarly work, encouraging researchers to think beyond the confines of their thesis. By disseminating their findings, researchers contribute to advancing their disciplines, and facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, fostering worldwide connections within academic and professional communities.
The forum takes place monthly, with each session dedicated to a single candidate who will present a well-structured overview of their research article. This initiative invites participants to present different research outputs, including review papers, development studies, and qualitative or quantitative research, centered on their current projects. Candidates collaborate with their supervisors to prepare for their presentations. The session begins with a 20-minute presentation by the candidate, followed by 40 minutes for suggestions and feedback to refine and enhance the article. Following the presentations, the candidates work with their supervisors to refine their articles for publication. With CIM’s distinguished group of experts as supervisors, their experience contributes to producing high-quality articles and nurturing talented authors.
On November 7, Mr Vinay John, a research scholar presented a paper on the impact of Christian core values in healthcare institutions and their role in achieving sustainable development goals. Mr John’s study critically analyses how Christian values like faith, and love affect the healthcare system thereby improving the quality of lives and the environment. The experts, as well as the PhD scholars, participated actively during the discussions. The experts gave valuable suggestions to refine the article and the scholars posed insightful questions and sought clarification for their doubts.
The Research Forum for PhD scholars continues to remain as a podium to express ideas and solutions and includes the collaboration of brilliant minds for the betterment of the individual and society.
