Last month, CIM held a dynamic Breakfast Meet at the YMCA in Vepery, drawing participants who discussed the theme: “Accelerate Action – Leadership in Management”. This year’s event coincided with the International Women’s Day, adding a layer of significance to the gathering.
With around 40 participants in attendance, the atmosphere was one of learning, reflection and encouragement. The event included a series of activities designed to foster community and reflection. It started with an opening prayer, followed by worship through songs led by Dr. Blessy, a dental surgeon at THANC. Ms. Suganthi, the Management Coordinator at CIM, read the day’s devotion from the Management Devotional, and Dr. Mercia Justin, a Director of CIM, introduced the keynote speaker.
The morning’s highlight was an empowering session led by Mrs. Minu Pramod IRS, ADG - NACIN. The session, "Accelerate Action," resonated deeply, issuing a compelling call to live lives of authentic integrity. Participants were challenged to shed hypocrisy, silence gossip, and renounce corruption. Ms. Minu Pramod, echoing the heart of Jesus, passionately encouraged participants to extend friendship and compassion to those society often overlooks, just as our Savior did. This event was a powerful reminder of the transformative potential of God's Word and the vital role women play in embodying His love and truth.
Her presentation emphasised the importance of taking initiative and leading with intention to pursue actionable steps in our personal and organisational leadership endeavors.
Following Mrs. Pramod’s talk, an open forum facilitated by Dr. Mercia Justin allowed participants to engage with each other and exchange ideas. Then, Mrs. Ramalakshmi, a Management Coordinator at CIM, delivered the vote of thanks.
At the conclusion of the meet, the attendees celebrated International Women’s Day with a cake-cutting ceremony, honouring the women who lead and serve in various capacities.
The event was more than just a meet; it was a blend of inspiration, fellowship and celebration, reminding everyone present of the vital role that visionary leadership plays in today’s world.
