TN-CHON, Tamil Nadu Christian Healthcare Organisations Network, conducted its third meeting in Chennai at the Bethany Healthcare Centre. On the evening of 25th July, a group of around 35 medical professionals and practitioners gathered for an informative session on HR and Capacity building in healthcare organisations, led by Mr. Raja Christopher, the Director of Seminars and Trainings at CIM.
“HR often receives secondary importance in healthcare institutions,” Mr. Christopher began, “with staff capacity building being even more neglected.” He emphasised the need for an effective HR framework within healthcare organisations, highlighting that a lack of effective HR can result in serious consequences and hinder the organisation’s growth. He stressed that continuous learning is vital in our rapidly changing world. Mr. Samson Raj, CEO of 3-C-Critical Care Concerns, appreciated the idea of healthcare professionals striving to develop their skills and potential. He also valued the mention of simulated learning for healthcare professionals.
The elite crowd of medical professionals included doctors, surgeons, gynaecologists, dentists, medical administrative officers and chaplains. Additionally, the session provided an opportunity for representatives to share insights into their organisations' operations, challenges, and unique features. Attendees represented different healthcare organisations, including St. Isabel, MMM, and CSI Rainy.
Mr. Santhosh of CMAI, the organiser of the event, stated that TN-CHON would likely utilise CIM’s services in other branches as well. CIM’s mission of equipping institutions is reflected through this partnership with TN-CHON in connecting healthcare institutions for a greater societal impact.
