In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening local non-profit leadership, CIM and Christnet Academy, Hyderabad, successfully conducted a series of Grassroots Leaders Training from June 5-7, 2025. The training sessions took place across three locations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana: Chinthaluru, Vijayawada, and Maripeda.

The sessions addressed topics improving leaders' administrative and legal awareness. The session was led by CA Richard from ChristNet Academy, focused on Formation & Registration, equipping participants with critical knowledge necessary for establishing and maintaining compliant and effective organisations. Mr. Raja Christopher, Director of Trainings and Seminars at CIM delved into non-profit Management, covering best practices for organising non-profit activities and resources.

This marks the first time that a training session has been held in the remote village of Chinthaluru. Due to its limited access and connectivity to the outside world, the village lacks paved roads beyond a certain point. Despite these challenges, CIM successfully reached out to educate the local leaders, many of whom mentioned that this was the first time they had encountered the information presented in the training. The event featured enthusiastic and engaged participants who expressed a desire for such seminars to be held regularly.

The turnout was impressive, with Chinthaluru hosting 55 leaders representing seven districts, Vijayawada attracting 35 leaders from five districts, and Maripeda engaging 40 leaders from four districts. This outreach has empowered these local organisations and non-profits with essential skills and insights to bolster their foundations, ensuring a more robust community of growth in the region.

Through initiatives like this, CIM is committed to fostering growth within local non-profit networks, ultimately aiming to impact and uplift communities in every nook and corner of the country.
